Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!! It is such a wonderful time to be a missionary right now! It's my last week here in Post Falls and I leave for Temple Square on Wednesday morning. I am so grateful that I was sent here for my outbound because of the many people that I have met! This time here has really taught me the importance of members in missionary work. The Lord has told us in many conferences and in the Hastening the work of Salvation that it's not just the missionary's work, but it's our work. It's the Lord's work and this is how He wants us to do it. Both missionary and member, together. This time here has taught me the kind of member I need to be when I get home. In the last General Conference there was something said that really struck me. It was by Elder Nielsen of the 70. He said, "We need to be engaged as never before to match the excitement of our leaders and the commitment of our full-time missionaries. This work is not going to move forward in the Lord's intended way without us! As President Henry B. Eyring has said, 'Whatever our age, capacity, Church calling, or location, we are as one called to the work to help Him in His harvest of souls.'" It really is His work and we must be fully committed to Him and do all we can to bring His children to Him. This is a great time to be on earth when the Gospel is in it's fullness here and we have the knowledge to live with our Father in Heaven. Now it's our duty to help others come to that knowledge so that we can see our brothers and sisters with God someday. We can do it if we ask for the Lord's help. "And now, if your joy will be great with one soul that you have brought unto me into the kingdom of my Father, how great will be your joy if you should bring many souls unto me!" D&C 18:16.
Nothing too amazing happened this week, just bringing souls unto Christ! ;) I just hope that I did what the Lord wanted me to do while I've been here in Post Falls, Idaho. Oh, a less active lady that we've been working with came to church yesterday! We actually haven't seen her for a week and she just came out of the blue!! It was truly amazing and I feel that she was one of the people that I needed to see while I was here! I love this work and I love this Gospel.
I am thankful for Jesus Christ and His atoning sacrifice that He went through while on earth. I am so grateful for the scriptures. I am grateful for the Holy Ghost and the guidance that it provides. I am so grateful for cars because it's cold! I am also very grateful for prayer and that we have a way to communicate with our Father in Heaven!! I am also grateful for my family and the support that you all give me! Love you all!!!
